Dr. Kostantinos Pries

Dr. Kostantinos (Gus) Pries received his Bachelors degree Cum Laude in General Biology with a concentration in Systems Physiology from San Jose State University in 2002.  He pursued his dental education at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and received his D.D.S. degree in 2005.  His interest in learning and continuing his education in General Dentistry led him to complete a General Practice Residency at the San Francisco Veteran’s Affairs Hospital where he was able to learn and practice with some of the leading board certified clinicians in dentistry.  His residency training gave him further experience in cosmetics, periodontics, oral surgery, dentures, and other advanced restorative procedures, which he uses on a daily basis.  After gaining practice and confidence working as an associate, Dr. Pries decided to open his own practice back in his home city of San Jose, known as Pries Dental Care.  Along with his practice, Dr. Pries also enjoys a position as a pre-clinical instructor for 1^st and 2^nd year dental students at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he is able to share his knowledge and passion of Dentistry and be surrounded by some of the best educators and leading researchers in his field.

Dr. Pries enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry with a focus on restorative and cosmetic dentistry and high quality comprehensive dental care.  His goal is to provide care to his patients in a comfortable, gentle environment.  He works particularly well with dental-phobic patients as well as patients of all ages, including children.  He is familiar with many of the latest techniques including white fillings, veneers, implants, and in-office bleaching.  Dr. Pries also attends continuing educational events on a regular basis to keep his knowledge of new, innovative procedures and products up-to-date.

His professional affiliations include American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Santa Clara County Dental Society.  He enjoys playing soccer, jogging, golf, S.F. Giants baseball, and spending time with his family.
 

Laura Sablad

Laura came to the dental field in the year 2000 and worked as a Front Desk and Scheduling Coordinator. After receiving her Associate’s Degree in Computer Business Administration from Heald College in 2004, she accepted a position in Marketing Administration. Realizing her love for dentistry, she returned to the dental field in 2006.

As the Front Desk Coordinator, Laura helps patients in scheduling appointments, as well as treatment & financial planning. Her goal is to schedule appointments that best fit the needs of our patients, and help patients understand how to proceed with treatment while maximizing their insurance benefits and minimizing out-of-pocket expense.


 

Glenda Barba

Our chairside assistant, Glenda Barba, assists Dr. Pries with all procedures, including x-rays, fillings, amalgams & composites, crowns, impressions, extractions and root canals. A graduate of Everest College Dental Assisting Program, she also completed a 5 month internship during and after her period of study. Glenda has earned a dental assistant diploma, a coronal polishing certificate, and an x-ray license. She is also certified in CPR.

Glenda loves spending time with her family, cooking and shopping. She is also very intrested in Spanish art and learning new ideas to prevent global warming.
